How to attract money, clients and harmony

Your essence is like a seed buried deep in the ground, gathering
life energy until it sprouts and bears fruit in accordance
with its DNA blueprint. I liken this essential DNA to a “through
line,” a term I learned from working in the film business.
A through line refers to a two-sentence description of the
movie’s script. The through line serves as the film’s organizing
principle. As the movie springs to life, everything about the
production – wardrobe, lighting, locations, cast – is designed
to augment the through line, to move the story forward and
convey its essence. Herein lies a clue for how your through
line can help you attract more money, clients and harmony.
Your through line can be expressed as the quality you most
enjoy giving to another (and most need to receive yourself).
It is your gift from the divine source. Your through line is
your signature frequency, which you broadcast all the time.
It is what people respond to in you. It is what makes you unique.
Once you are able to discern your through line – put words
to it, define it and fill yourself up with its qualities –
you hold the key to bringing your dreams to life.
For example, you may describe yourself as a history teacher
looking for work. To strengthen your story, you might add,
“I have x years experience studying history, x years teaching
it and here’s my list of credentials.” Truthfully, do you think
this is enough juice to attract a great job? Let’s try something
else.
Begin instead at a high point. Bring forward a time when you
were teaching at your best and inspiring your students to be
their best. You feel at the top of your game. As you tune in
to this peak moment, you notice how relaxed and grounded you
feel. You enjoy the connection and easy flow between your material
and your students. What’s more, your students, upon connecting
with your easy flow, relax in turn and, Surprise! Find that
history makes sense to them in a whole new way.
Now you have a much more intriguing story: you are a history
teacher who is an expert at turning dry material into an easy
flow of information that struggling students enjoy learning.
Your through line is “enjoyable, easy learning.” Your clients
are struggling students; they have a need for enjoyable, easy
learning so they can get on with their lives; this is what
you really love to give them and be well paid for while you
do it.
What’s more, your story has a sequel. You can create other
“enjoyable, easy learning” products and services to take you
out of the classroom and into an entrepreneurial venture of
your own. Because these seed qualities flow from your source
in the divine, you have no limits.
